Pilsner Urquell brewery courtyard |
For the last time this year, the Pilsner Urquell brewery courtyard will host the Pilsen farmers’ markets: on Saturday 19 September from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Farmers’ products and local food will be offered to visitors by tried and tested sellers of vegetables, dairy products, meat and crisp rolls and bread. Unfiltered Pilsner Urquell lager will be on tap.
The market will also feature workshops held by cooks from the Czech National Chefs and Pastry Chefs Team. They will host a live show, cooking meals using the farmers’ products. The recipes will involve ingredients sold on the farmers’ market on the given day. You, too, will have a chance to try to prepare meals on the spot under expert supervision in fully equipped mobile kitchens. The cooking of individual dishes starts at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
The program is supported by the Czech Specials project organised by the CzechTourism agency, the Czech Hotels and Restaurants Association and by the Czech Chefs and Pastry Chefs Association.
In accordance with an order from the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, tours and experience programme are closed to public until further notice. Sorry for inconvenience.
