The tour of the Pilsen Brewery has been granted the prestigious World Travel Awards 2024 and thus becomes the best brewery tour in Europe.

The tour of the Pilsen Brewery became the winner of the 31st year of the international competition in the area of tourism and hospitality. A public online poll took place across European countries in January and February this year,
and the Pilsner Urquell tour succeeded in the Europe´s Beer Tour Visitor Experience 2024 category, in extraordinarily strong competition from tours of the world-renown breweries of Heineken, Guiness and other brands.
The awarded tour is one of the most popular trip destinations in the Czech Republic. Last year, almost 600,000 people visited tours, events and experience programmes offered by Plzeňský Prazdroj. The visitors were mostly interested in the Pilsner Urquell tour. It was popular with domestic and foreign tourists, mostly Germans, Taiwanese, South Koreans, Americans, Italians and Polish.
Why is the tour so popular
You can take the tour of the Pilsen Brewery all year round. The tour includes a film about the secrets behind the production of the famous lager and an opportunity to explore the ingredients it is made from in more detail. The tour will take you to the packaging plant, brewhouse and historical cellars. At the end of the tour, adult visitors get a chance to try Pilsner Urquell.
Visitors come back repeatedly
We do not leave anything to chance and thus improve the brewery tour continuously so that visitors always discover something new when they come back. For example, this year, we are preparing a special tour including industrial premises of the brewery with production technology that are not usually accessible. They will be open to the public during the Industry Open festival.
