The Brewery Museum holds its eleventh year of the popular competition for the nicest Christmas gingerbread. Bake and decorate your Christmas gingerbread and place it in the competition!

The Brewery Museum holds its eleventh year of the popular competition for the nicest Christmas gingerbread. Bake and decorate your Christmas gingerbread and place it in the competition!

Valuable prizes are waiting for the winners of the following competition categories:

  • Traditional gingerbread
  • Gingerbread model
  • Children’s product

How the competition works:

Bring your homemade gingerbread to the Brewery Museum reception between 29 November and 16 December before 5 pm. The gingerbread submitted for the competition will be judged by a professional jury in the Brewery Museum from 5 pm on 18 December 2014.

Competition results:

This Christmas competition included 31 competing gingerbreads. In addition to the traditional festive season and winter motives the competitors also presented original works such as a water tower, a traditional gingerbread cottage, the stump home of Mr Quartz and Mr Mushroom, a turtle with a surprise, a slipper, a bell, a star, a nativity scene and an angel.

Winners of the individual categories:

  • Traditional gingerbread: Lucie Horalová – Angels with a banner
  • Gingerbread model: Petra Mikulášková – Nativity scene
  • Child product: Karolína Buhlová – Bells on a spruce branch
  • Professional jury prize: Jana Buhlová – Faithful model of the Pilsner Urquell Brewery Water Tower.

All gingerbread participating in the competition will be exhibited in the Brewery Museum till 31 December 2014.
