Sedlice-style lacework: Exhibition at the Brewery Museum in Pilsen

In autumn, the Brewery Museum in Pilsen will put on an array of lacework, and lace will remain the museum’s decoration during the Christmas period.

Visitors can learn about hand-made Sedlice-style bobbin lacework and the history of lacemaking in the Sedlice region from the 1st half of the 18th century up to contemporary production. Visitors can feast their eyes on both historical lacework over 100 years old and a wide range of clothing and furnishing accessories in which traditional bobbin lacemaking techniques are wedded to modern features.

On 14 November, the Brewery Museum in Pilsen will host a 1-day bobbin lacemaking workshop as part of the popular workshop cycle entitled Autumn inspiration.
