The Plzeňský Prazdroj a.s. Central Archive

In 2009 the archive received accreditation from the Czech Ministry of the Interior and operates as a private archive under Section 57 of the Act on Archiving no. 499/2004 Coll. as amended.

In the Central Archive there are deposited 378 metres of archives divided into 89 funds and collections. The major part of the documents date from the second half of the 19th century, the youngest from 2008.

The core and most important funds are those of the Burghers' Brewery in Pilsen, the First Joint-Stock Brewery in Pilsen (Gambrinus), the Pilsen Joint-Stock Prior Brewery in Pilsen, the Czech Pilsen Světovar Brewery in Pilsen, the Pilsen Breweries, the National Enterprise in Pilsen, West Bohemian Breweries, the Holding Enterprise in Pilsen and Plzeňský Prazdroj a.s. The voluminous group comprises funds from small breweries from Aše to Železná Ruda; professional associations and organisations are also represented in the funds. Valuable documents are included in the Photography Collection and Documentation Collection.

For members of the public interested in research there is an opened research library.

Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It is always necessary to arrange a visit in advance as the number of places is limited.
