PILSNER FEST 2015

Would you like to experience the typical brewery atmosphere, taste original beer combined with a broad range of good food presented by restaurants, while listening to good music? Then you should come to the Pilsner Urquell brewery on Saturday, 3 October 2015 and take part in the traditional Pilsner Fest – a celebration of the 173rdanniversary of the Pilsner Urquell brand.

On Saturday, 3 October 2015, Pilsen will come alive with the brewing spirit and the city will again commemorate the historic moment which occurred 173 years ago when the very first batch of renowned Pilsner lager was brewed. An unconventional program has been prepared for all visitors to the festival, with festival venues involving not only the brewery premises but also Republic Square in Pilsen.

Unfiltered Pilsner Urquell will naturally be the star at all the bars. It will be complemented by dishes of both traditional Czech and contemporary gastronomy which you can enjoy in special outdoor restaurants situated on the brewery courtyard as well as on the square. The gourmet experience will be accompanied by quality Czech music performed on two stages, one of which will be situated right in the brewery while the other will be on Republic Square.

Visitors to the Pilsner Fest will certainly be interested in seeing the crafts directly associated with the brewing industry. Thus, coopers, maltsters and carters will show off their skills and prove that their profession is still alive and well today.

Eve of the celebrations – Friday 2 October from 4:30 p.m.

Those of you who would like to experience the brewery atmosphere and visit the place where original Pilsner lager originated can  enjoy anniversary unfiltered Pilsner Urquell beer with excellent food on the brewery courtyard on Friday, 2 October. On the eve of the celebrations, visitors will be put in celebratory mood for the main Saturday program thanks to fine meals, unfiltered beer and local music.
