Šalanda (Shalanda, a former buttery) is an exceptional lounge stashed away in the labyrinth of passageways that make up the historic lager cellars. In the past Šalanda was a rest and relaxation room for brewery servants. Plzeňský Prazdroj has decided to revive this tradition and built this attractive location in the historic cellars.
We can offer you a nice sit-down with unfiltered and unpasteurized Pilsner Urquell beer produced using the traditional method in the brewery cellars of Plzeňský Prazdroj.
This unique beer is fermented in open oak vats and aged in oak lager barrels. The beer is unfiltered, still containing the yeast that gives it its unmistakable flavour, aroma and appearance. This unique unfiltered Pilsner Urquell can only be enjoyed during the sightseeing tour of the brewery or at a sit-down here in the spaces of Šalanda.
